Successful shipment of oversized parts

In recent weeks, Mega Online Logistics completed the transportation of the first phase of a hydroelectric project to Guatemala.

During the last few weeks, Mega Online coordinated the transport of a batch of oversized parts from the shipper's factory in Spain to the construction site of a hydroelectric plant on the banks of the Cahabón River in Guatemala.

The transportation involved inland transportation at origin, coordination of special cargo at ports, maritime transportation of non-containerized cargo, and coordination at destination of transportation and support equipment necessary to ensure the safety and integrity of the cargo.

Difficult roads? Not for us!

The final loading point was on the banks of the Cahabón River, located at the bottom of a canyon in the Guatemalan rainforest. The journey included 334 km of paved road plus 20 km of dirt roads in precarious conditions. The last few hundred meters had gradients of more than 20%, which required the use of tractors and support equipment to ensure that the load reached the end point in optimal conditions.

With patience and the right support equipment, no topography is an obstacle.
